The anticipation accompanying the imminent birth of a new baby is surpassed only by the excitement of the baby's grand arrival into the world. A new mother is typically filled with wonder mal urge to suck, a feeding ritual essential for human survival. about the helpless bundle of joy that is certain to alter her life forever. In the first week of life in the outside world, a baby is experiencing a major transition and relies on her mother for consistent comfort and nurturing.
The first week sign of pregnancy ticks the alarm that you have started blooming a new life inside you. The pregnancy symptoms are not so visible in the first week of pregnancy. Both your physical and mental health undergoes certain changes after you become pregnant. Make a note of all these changes that start surfacing as early pregnancy symptoms within a couple days from conceiving. Onset of these symptoms at the first week of pregnancy marks implantation of fetus in the uterus and gradual development of it in your body.
Will my baby be OK because I drank before I knew I was pregnant? Am I going to put on lots of weight? How do you pick up a baby? Lots of thoughts and feelings may cause both parents-to-be to feel quite anxious early on in the pregnancy or perhaps throughout. There are obviously some activities that should be avoided or foods that should not be eaten but mostly fears are simply that; fears, part of assimilating this new life event.
o Most falls during this learning period will not cause serious injury. Bruises generally heal naturally over a week or so, without causing much pain.
o As long as the skin is not broken there is no need to bandage the area or otherwise cover it up.
o You can use an ice pack to reduce swelling and the black-and-blue discoloration of bruising. This should be applied for 15-minute periods several times a day during the first 48 hours. A pack of frozen vegetables or ice cubes and water in a plastic bag that is wrapped in a paper towel or wash cloth will do if an ice pack is not available. An ice pack may be alternated with a heat pack after 48 hours.
1 Month old
By this age, your baby will prefer the human face to other shapes. He may also turn towards familiar sounds or voices. These are your first clues that the screaming bundle you brought home from the hospital is going to be a social human being some day!
2 months old
She smiles! This is probably one of the most exciting milestones. Her smile is not very focused. She smiles at anyone, not just at you, and her smile is more of a reflex than a genuine smile, but it is still exciting and heartwarming, especially after two long months of sleepless nights.
3 months old
By this age, your baby begins to develop a social smile. His smile is no longer just a random reflex. He actually smiles at familiar faces. Another very cute milestone typical for this age: you will see your baby "exercise" by kicking his legs energetically.
