Get them the right mattress

They too can feel pressure point as a result of an uncomfortable mattress.Make sure that you use soft mattress pads and mattress covers so their skin will not get irritated. Bottles and traveling can be a bit of a challenge! Before the days of high security the easiest thing to do was to take a flask of nearly boiling water and your baby formula and you were in control! Now you are in the hands of the airport staff or cabin crew. Ensure that you ask in plenty of time for your water to be heated, no planes have microwaves and cabin crew run to tight schedules so it can take much longer that you think. Take plenty of formula with you and if your baby likes it take the ready made cartons- an extravagance but a joy! I tried from birth onwards to give my baby room temperature milk as well as warm, so the need to have exactly the correct temperature was never an issue.

Consider the room temperature. Babies lose heat through their skin much more quickly than adults. Water enhances this heat loss. The room may feel comfortable to you, but it could be too chilly for your baby's sensitive skin.Before placing the baby in the bath, make sure the temperature in the room is between 70 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Warmer is better, as long as the room isn't stifling. Make sure the room is free from drafts as well.

These are items you can stock up on ahead of time. You can figure on going through 10-12 diapers a day for a newborn, but only buy a month's worth in advance, as babies can quickly outgrow these diapers. Then, also have the next size up on hand so you don't have to run to the store. You might be able to save some money by shopping the sales during your pregnancy. You will never have enough wipes, so stock up on these. You'll be using these until your child is at least 4 or 5. Also buy unscented in the beginning.

Most babies develop a routine of sleeping for perhaps two hours in the morning and again in the afternoon, but there are always exceptions. While wakeful babies can be trying, they reward you in the end because they're usually very bright and affectionate, so don't be down hearted.
