One very common sleep disorder affecting children today is the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. This sleep disorder is known to cause daytime attention and behavioral problems in children. It is extremely difficult to diagnose the condition in children. Out of every 10 children who have the condition, only 6 complain of feeling tired during the daytime. This is why it is important for parents to be able to detect if their children are showing the condition's symptoms.

For special children with Down Syndrome, the sleeping disorder is common. Since these children are not capable of complaining about fatigue and drowsiness during the day, it is important to immediately detect the symptoms.

40% of children who snore have sleeping disorders. This puts children at risk, and immediate medical evaluation is a must, for proper sleep apnea treatment.

The symptoms for this child sleep apnea disorder cannot be found out easily. This occurs during the child sleeping so it is not that easy to find out when he or she is suffering from this snoring disorder. This may be the case prolonging for years and it is not that easy to find out. These symptoms when found the patient are kept under research.

Sleep apnea is a very common sleep disorder which currently affects about 18,000,000 people in the USA alone. This figure represents approximately 1 in 15 or 6.62% of the population which does not take into account an estimated additional 2% to 4% of the population who are believed to be suffering from the condition but who are as yet undiagnosed.

However, what most people do not realize is that there are also a surprisingly large and growing number of children who suffer from sleep apnea, with estimates showing that approximately 2% of all children suffer from sleep apnea
